Hello, I am a 51 year old professional in Northern New England who came out in early May to his wife of 21+ years. I have been going to a counselor since May and have been going to support groups in the Boston for the past month. I have had happy days, sad days, crying days, and everything inbetween. My wife has been very supportive and relieved to now know a big reason why our marriage was so turbulent. We will be going through mediation for separation and divorce. We have two children, a son, who will be a Freshman in college studying mechanical engineering and a daughter who will be a junior studying political science and public policy. I am without a doubt gay...but have only told my wife at this time and no one else. I am looking forward to this forum for additional support and those who have had similar experiences. Chargers1984

Welcome, Let your pain begin to fade with the help and support of EC. Not knowing where to turn, or who to turn to is something very hard and also accepting your sexuality doesn't help in these situations.
