How do you access the chat room on this website? It seems like that is a really good place to meet people quickly, but whenever I try to go into it it says that it is not available for regular members. HELP?!? Thanks!
You need to have been on EC for a minimum of 2 weeks. You also need at least 50 Posts, and they can't be just a few words. When you have done these 2 things, you can fill out an application to access the Chat Room. Completion of the Application does NOT guarantee approval.
The only way to get into the chat room is by being a Full Member. You can't become one without applying, and you need to be here for 2 weeks and have 50 posts before applying. The regular forum is quite active. The chat room apparently has less traffic--many, including me, have never been in it.
I've been in the chat room, anyone can actually see who's in there by looking on the front page (I didn't know about this myself til a few days ago). It's down at the bottom. As you'll be able to see, you're not missing a ton
Hello and Welcome to EC!! Yeah, our chatroom is not as active as chatrooms on other sites. Also, like others have said, you will need to be a full member before you can access the chatroom. You can apply once you have been here for two weeks and have 50 posts. You can apply here.
