Hi my name is James, I live in Connecticut (the most boring state) and I'm gay. The only person I ever told I was gay was my therapist, but I don't really go to see him anymore and I'm very lonely so I thought I would check out some forums for gay people, that's pretty much it, sorry this was sort of awkward but I'm new to internet forums and I'm an awkward person in general.
Hey, welcome to EC! It's a really friendly place, so don't be afraid to get stuck in. I was awfully awkward when I came here, but you really start to feel 'at home' after a while. And don't worry about feeling lonely, people here give really good advice, and are always willing to help!
Awkwardness will vanish after a week or so of posting; EC's so dynamic it will rope anyone in Welcome!
James, didn't you know that awkward and honest is VERY refreshing in the LGBT community? Don't apologize, dude. Welcome to EC and enjoy reading, and just jump in with a comment when you feel the urge. There are so many topics that someone will say something that strikes a chord with you. I disagree about Conneticut being the most boring...Mississippi where I grew up was running a close second at worst. But then again we had cow tipping. Oh yes, there was cow tipping.
