Security reasons so 1. People you know won't find you just like that. 2. Strangers getting personal information out of you- the point of the site (to help others in the lgbt community, discuss current problems etc) would vanish if people used it to find dates or network. I'm sure there are other reasons, but a mod would be better off answering that Welcome =D ! I say, Homestuck's pretty awesome. :welcome:
