Hey there. I'm an interested person who has chosen to join this forum. What am I interested in? The majority of you. The issues you face. Your attitudes. Your opinions. I've been on a very interesting journey so far in life. My conclusion was mainly: "I'm an alien. I cannot be like these freaks. There is so much hatred around I feel depressed." So, I'm taking time to try and get to know a great variety of people with different opinions, views and lifestyles. That's me. Also, kudos for still using this smiley: (!)

Hi Saturn7 Welcome to EC. I joined earlier this year to try and understand myself better and found everyone to be very helpful and friendly. My biggest surprise is that at the age of 53 so many teenagers and early 20s have offered me help and advice and also been thankful of my advice, it’s a site for all ages … but since coming out I feel like a teenager again so even though I am older I still face some of the same challenges they do. I think it’s good that a straight guy like yourself has joined the site to become better informed of LGBT issues. I look forward to reading your input. Sale Gay Guy
Thank you for your words of welcome, sir. It's just my opinion, but I feel that real wisdom is true no matter the source. I think it is a shame that many people close their minds, hearts and eyes as they grow up. It is like a self protection measure to protect their delicate ego. There is something to be said for being able to perceive things from the perspective of youth - or even a child. It makes life so much brighter too. Right, please excuse me, for I must go and ring on some doorbells and run away!
