I knew at 5 that I was different though I didn't quit know what that difference was at the time at 11 I figured it out but it bothered me I had an emotional breakdown in class my best friend Trisha asked me what was wrong I said Trisha I think I'm gay she said well don't cry there's nothing wrong with that and she went up to the teachers desk and told the teacher I was upset so the teacher pulled me out into hallway and asked me what was wrong so I told her she smiled and hugged me and said that it would alright and then sent me to the guidance counselor later that night when I got home I told my mom she thought I was going through a faze she knows better now lol high school was hard for me I got bullied for being gay but I had a few friends who stuck by me Trisha was one of them me and her are still good friends to this day
It's still amazing to me and it shows a lot of strength. Hopefully my friends that have become important to me will always stay in my life like your friend Trisha.
