Do you ever get through "coming out"?

Hey, everybody. So, after several years questioning myself, I finally accepted the fact that I'm gay. January of this year was when I first told somebody. Since then, many family members, and some friends have been told. Even though it has been 10 months since, I still feel like everyday I'm still in this coming out process. Does it ever pass?

Hi just a guy, welcome to EC!

Yeah, coming out will happen fairly regularly, part of the deal, but it gets easier!

Your sexuality will more than likely pop up at certain points throughout your life, so no, we pretty much always be "coming out" throughout our lifetimes. It's up to you whenever it feels necessary for the situation.

Welcome! Yes the feeling does pass, at least it did for me, when you become more comfortable in your skin and in your environment. It took me moving states away, but it passed for me. Now when I tell someone that I'm gay its like I'm just talking about the weather or something small like that.

Welcome to EC. The feeling does sort of pass, but you are always going to be coming out to people.
