Hey everyone! My name's Andrea and I am completely and one hundred percent new to Empty Closets, and also to the LGBT community! To give everyone a little background on my current situation; I'm twenty, still living with my parents. Recently came out to my younger brother about being a Lesbian. He took it REALLY well, as I thought he might, and he has been super supportive (along with his super awesome girlfriend's help). Parents still don't know, and I don't think I'll be telling them until I move out at the end of next summer... Some of my friends know, but not all of them, and my extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. have no idea. I don't have a ton of lesbian friends, but I do know a few, and it's been nice getting to know them and learning more about the lifestyle. I feel really comfortable talking to them. Still young though, so I know there's more life to come right? Welcome to EC and congrats on telling your brother, great that you have his and his girlfriends support. Hope that what ever advice you may need in the future you can get here at EC. Your right you are young and still have your whole life ahead of you.
