    Hello,

    I am a human being.
Or at least, that’s what the general consensus is. How am I to know if I’m really a human being? What makes someone a human being? Is it just the fact that I am a Homo Sapiens? Or is it a more underlying quality? I feel like Diogenes would still be walking with his lamp, in broad daylight, searching for a real Human Being. Is there even a proper definition of being human? Is it us that must fit the criteria, or rather, do we make it fit us, to avoid facing our basic human inhumanity? Who knows.

    I am a man.
It would seem to be the case. I have an apparatus between my legs. Why this would make me different from a woman, I don’t know. I don’t know what makes a man and what makes a woman. I know simply that I am a man and I don’t desire to be a woman. Maybe one day that will change. The idea that gender is binary and assigned per the sexual organ at birth is something which makes little sense. This is why men are imperfect beings. The truly perfect being is the Grecian Androgyne, more commonly known as a hermaphrodite. To be one and two at the same time is a triumph over the binary system.
I am happy with being male, if only that I don’t have to wear a dress.

    I am bisexual.
It would seem to be the case. I make no distinction between the male version or the female version of humans. If there is a scale for sexuality, why should I be on one extremity or the other? I seek the perfect balance. To connect love to gender is like connecting hate to a limb. Completely absurd. Absurdity only has its place in art. I love one who brings out the emotion in me. Why should I cut myself off to the possibility of love and happiness, simply because the person is of the same gender. I open my horizons to both men and women and I remain equidistant to both.

    I have joined this website.
My reasons for joining this website are mixed. I am sure of who I am and have relatively few issues to deal with. Psychologically speaking, I simply cannot see where there is to get to. However, I like to part of a community. It is the ultimate act of society, to be part of a group of people who share common traits. It’s a pleasure to interact with others and it’s a pleasure to speak to others. I have seen these forums before joining, so some of you are already familiar to me. I hope to make a few friends along the way, too.

    See you soon,

    E.

    Hello Equidistant, welcome to EC!

Excellent analysis! Being part of a community is important, and this is where it gets messy. We're all here to figure out what it means to be part of this community, the good and the bad.

I'm sure you could use some of our gay life-lessons and just as sure that you have some to share with us!

    Welcome!

I like human beings as well, but generally ones with "apparatus between their legs". Too funny
