    Hi All,
I just need to vent. I'm 63 years old and bisexual, married to a woman, and have 2 grown kids, and grandkids. My wife often torments and ridicules me, and brings up the fact that I had a couple boyfriends years ago, even though she said she was OK with it at the time. At work, my boss treats me with disdain, as does a female VP. The previous company president harassed me for years, and the new one started off OK, but now ignores me, but I guess it's better than being harassed. The gossip queen at work found out I was bisexual, and spreads it around. Divorce and retirement are out of the question for now, and I've had suicidal thoughts lately, but I don't want to put my mother through it, especially because my sister died of MS in 2011. I'm trying to hang on until I can retire and move out, but it's hard.

    Thanks for reading.

    Oh wow that's terrible :frowning2:

I'm so sorry to hear that, and if you ever need someone to talk to there are plenty of kind hearted people here at EC willing to offer some helpful advice and encouraging words

Wow, that is a lot to take I understand that.
I am only here since a few days, but people around here are very welcoming, and help a lot.

I hope you found some peace by being with us, and also hope that you find help.

Maybe you need to find something to do that could give you a break of all of them.
An activity if you have time, to relax and forget all of them even if it is only for a few moment.

    Welcome!

I'm new to coming out and the open bit, but I'm more then used to the ridicule side of these things. Hopefully we can learn to cope with it together here, i hope so! If i could say anything it would be my heart goes out to your sister, and remember that you're most inspirational to us at your lowest points! It shows how strong you are!

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. I recently got a dog(against her wishes) and he's been a great companion and passtime.

    Welcome to EC!
It sucks that your wife is being that way. While the gossip queen may be spreading it around, I'm sure that it's not going to matter to most people!
Suicide is never the answer, just hang in there, things will get better! I'm sorry to hear about your sister. :frowning2:

What breed of dog did you get?

    Hey MIKEP, welcome to EC!

Getting that dog probably gave you a taste of what it's like to assert yourself. It's a good first step, your second good step was joining us here at EC. Post often, let us know how things are going with you, I know you will find the courage to shake things up a little and start living!

    Welcome on EC

I am sorry to hear about your situation :frowning2: Some people have no compassion... I hope things are going to get better for you!

I am sure the dog is going to help  Boxers are such good dogs as well  My landlord (I am sharing a house) has a white boxer and it is the best dog! He is just a big softy!

EC is a good place and there is always someone to help  Hope things are going to be better for you now

To anyone interested: doing much better. Insulating myself from the Ignorant people at work, and associating more with the ones who accept me. Also told off my wife that I won't take anymore abuse. Thanks to all.

That's great to hear that things are going better! I hadn't find the forums yet when you first started this thread but reading your story gives me a bit of hope that anyone facing similar challenges can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm lucky in that I have a super supportive spouse so I'm glad you were able to stick up for yourself! Please hang around and keep us updated!
