Newly joined. Not sure I'm in the right place. I've been out for over 20 years, in a relationship for the last 16. I regularly contribute to another message board and thought it would be interesting to belong to one for LGBT people. Most seem sort of targeted--including this one, but I figure I have more to contribute here than I do to a board that's about hooking up. I'm hoping I can meet some interesting people and have some good conversations. Thanks for letting me hang out with y'all for a while...
Hi OGS! Welcome to Empty Closets! I'm also somewhat of a new member but from what I have experienced here, people are very nice and supportive. No bashing or anything. I also love the fact that this is not a hook-up/dating site but a very safe online community where people like us can support/mentor one another. And yes, I think you are in the right place. You have been out [and proud, I am assuming] for 20 years now plus your experience with relationships can definitely help the ones who are struggling and are in need of your words of wisdom, especially the kids.
