Greetings from the lovely Bay Area! My name is Desert Rat, and I'm pretty much your average sixteen year old. I love pop music, especially my beloved No Doubt, but I listen to everything from Johnny Cash to Gorillaz to Supertramp to Panda Bear. I also like writing (mostly weird novella-length stuff starring crazy people), speech/debate (actually make a nice amount of money off of this), swimming (breaststroke!), and water polo (mostly just for fun, because I'm not that great at it). Oh, and men. Sexuality-wise, I originally only came out to a few friends, but enough people ended up finding out that it will basically be common knowledge once school's back in. I plan to tell my parents soon, but it's no rush, really, because they've hinted very heavily that they already know and it's only a matter of waiting until I officially declare it. I had one relationship with a girl freshman year that would have been a disaster even if I had been straight, but, other than that, nothing. So I guess I'm sort of a clean slate. So, yeah. Hi!
