Hola! My name's A.J. and I live in the US. I am gay and out to a couple people I know, mostly just friends, but also to my mom. I am trying to come out to my dad but I never have the guts to because he is a little homophobic. I'm a freshman in high school and I love to read, play video games, and draw/paint. I mostly only play WoW but I do play some other things. I just recently decided to come out to a lot of people but have yet to tell my dad, brother, and sister. It is just so awkward to bring up in a conversation. Whatever. Just want to say hi and how's everyone doing?

I don't know, it just never really comes up in a conversation. He has kind of acted like nothing has changed (I guess it hasn't) but when I told him, he just said, "You're GAY? Okay?..." and got up and left. We haven't talked about it sense (i know he has talked to my stepsister who has known for a while) but its kind of like the big elephant in the room...
OK, so are you comfortable being out as gay? Can you just tell your brother that it feels like there's an elephant in the room, and ask him to talk about it? Maybe he just feels awkward, but really accepts the person you are? (*hug*)
I am completely comfortable with who I am and I'm kind of sure he accepts me? But I don't know also...
