I realized I never introduced myself. I am Hyaline. I live with my partner of almost 7 years and our two cats, Gracie and Lily. We have pretty normal everyday lives, and we live in an amazingly accepting place. I have been busy the last few weeks answering questions and working out stuff in my own life. Reading about everyone's struggles and their triumphs has been really great. I am happy to have found such a life renewing place. Thank you all for sharing your stories. I'm not from SoCal, as everyone else commenting seems to be, but it seems to be a pretty cool place! I love cats; I used to have two, Onion and Mushroom, but Mushroom died at the ripe old age of 19 last year. He was ancient, to be honest. It was only a matter of time. He was very snuggly though. My still-alive cat, Onion, is 3 or 4 and he's got ginger fur and he bites me sometimes.

Hi Hyaline! I for one absolutely love your posts and find food for thought in most of them. I'm in Orange county... I too feel that I live in a very accepting area (and I work for an EXTREMELY diverse and accepting employer!) for which I am very thankful.
