In my third year of ROTC and applying to be a pilot this semester Nice to meet you! What did you think growing up an Air Force brat? My parents weren't in, but a lot of my ROTC buddies are AF brats and loved it.
Being the youngest in my family, I missed some of the traveling. And as an engineer, all the deployments were stateside. He did get to do work on the AWACS, though. Good luck with becoming a pilot. I've got nothing but respect for the work. Even if it seems unglamorous. A childhood friend has done some C130 flying for the Marines in the Middle East, and it is a bit nuts some of the stuff they've done.
