Introducing myself

    Hello everyone!

    First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dulce, I´m 36, I´m a female, and I´m straight.

    How did I get here?... Well... I´m an high school teacher... and teachers sometimes tend to forget the impact they have on their pupils lives...

    I try to be a friend to my pupils, be someone they can trust... without judging... but always defending what I believe.

    And that´s how I got here... Some hours ago, a ex-pupil (Francisco, aka Pyro), contacted me through MSN and told me he was gay... Did I get surprised? Yes! Did I get schoked? NO!!!

    I got very emotional! A pupil telling me such an importing thing!

    I always cry when I watch "The dead poets society"... I´ve always wanted to be the Captain... and that´s how I feel today!

    Thanks Kiko for trusting me! I am very proud of you!

    Wow, you must really be a great teacher! Even now I can't think of one of my teachers (from back when I was in school!) that I would've felt comfortable telling something like that to.

    That's awesome. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for young people to deal with questions about their orientation. I'm glad there are teachers like you that they can turn to. Welcome to EC!
