Orange County Guy

Hey Everyone.

So I am just introducing myself here! Just joined a few seconds ago and I am hoping to become pretty active on here.

My name is Sherwin. I am 19 years old, living in Orange County, CA (specifically Mission Viejo) only when on break. Otherwise I am a full time student at the University of California - Santa Cruz.

I am a MESTIZO. The following defines a Mestizo:

a person of racially mixed ancestry, esp., in Latin America, of mixed American Indian and European, usually Spanish or Portuguese, ancestry, or, in the Philippines, of mixed native and foreign ancestry.

In my case, I have relatives from the Philippines. I am 3/8 Filipino 1/8 Japanese, 1/6 French, 1/6 German, and 1/6 Irish So I felt Mestiz0 was a good choice for my username...along with the reason that I couldn't think of anything else :icon_wink

My coming out SO FAR has been alright. All of my friends either know or suspect, but I don't deny it when asked. When it comes to my family though, only two Cousins who live across the country know. My family is catching on though. Coming from a Filipino family, the subject of a GIRLfriend is very heavily pressed upon. And I am just running out of answers to the questions "Why don't you have a girlfriend?" and "Are you gay?"

Yeah the latter is sometimes asked too My own mother asked me recently if I liked girls or guys, and I said girls of course, just to spare her hurt feelings. So I think the time I have to hide my sexuality is dwindling...:tears:

Umm so that is the story on me! Haha.
