    I would first like to thank you all for the positivity that you have brought into my life. I feel that it is about time for me to get more involved with people and stop being a total recluse all the time.     Hi, and welcome, Jeremy! It's always particularly gratifying to see someone joining who has been lurking for a long time.

    We know that we have somewhere around 15x the number of non-members viewing EC as we have members viewing. It's always nice when someone "de-lurks" and starts to participate. If you have a moment to talk about how EC's been helpful, I'm sure that would be beneficial to others in the community (members and non-members!)

    My hesitation was caused by some complicated issues. Most of them have to do with my long and slow coming out and the way I handled it. Before I came out, I had several emotional issues that took me to very weird places mentally. I know that may sound strange but that is the best way to briefly describe it.

    Now I am in a much better place mentally and I feel that I can and should help others that may be in the same place where I was. Also with my Christian background, I feel that I can communicate well with anyone that may have been ostracized by their church or family. I am still a Christian and I know that God has no problem with the way He made me or anyone else. (&&&)
