ok my name is neal i live in a town where u have to be Exactly the same as everybody eles or ur life will be Complete torture like theres this gay kid in my school and hes out to everyone but he gets made fun of so so badly like in the boys locker room he got jumped and i jus sat there and watched him just so i can fit in and they say the most cruel things to him so there for i cant come out no matter what and i have a dad that isnt that proud of me because im not into fishing or cars (dont get me wrong hes a great dad) then comes my best friend that i wouldent no what to do without in all seriousness i wouldent be alive without him (suicide) IM SO SCARED so plz HELP me i have no clu of wat to do
Hi there and welcome to EC. If nothing else, you'll feel comfortable here. With respect to other people or outside of here, you don't need to necessarily do anything. Only come out to people when you feel comfortable doing so with. It doesn't sound like your school is very tolerent - and there are places like that I guess. That's really too bad. Hi Neal, and welcome to EC! I agree with Jim, that only come out to others when you feel ready and comfortable. Why not try to be friend with the other gay guy at your school? Try to get to know him outside of school....it could also help you in your coming out journey. EC is definitely here to help.
