Hello and welcome to EC, feel free to message me if you need help with anything or want to chat. You haven't said enough about your family for me to help there but with the camping waterproof tent, lots of layers (summer nights can still be cold), if you plan to BBQ at any time make sure you have beer (my Dad says it is needed for some reason) and my Dad's favourite saying "there are no too harsh conditions just bad equipment." And enjoy it that's important.

Thank you. Just to update, and I will post this in another forum, the camping trip was great, but as I had expected, my family kinda figured out what was going on. So...they know. But it was worth it.. the experience was that of a lifetime. Also, the trailer was so awesome that we camped in, I can't post pictures but I'll drop a link if interested. Little Guy Teardrop Trailers | be different. I guess they have quite a gay following and Lesbians are a significant part of the clientele. thanks
