I realise not everyone has but I was wondering if the people who have could post on this thread please
I just told people. It's hard to force yourself to, early on, and not everyone will take it well, but it's really the only way to do it. Welcome to EC.
Hello and welcome to EC! :smilewave :welcome: It's a pleasure to meet you I think that this thread would be better for the Support area's "Coming Out" section. Just so you can receive better and more accurate responses .
To my friends, I am just honest, I say that I prefer girls to boys. Generally dating/boyfriends/being single etc is brought up early in a conversation so I bring it up then. With my mum, she had just had an interview applying to work as a therapist for LGBTQ youths. I said that if she thought it would help her chances, she could tell the potential boss-man that she was "growing one of her own" as "I am about as straight as the earth is flat". She laughed and said that she knew from the age I was about 9, the same age I did.
I actually accidentally came out to my best friend. When I initially found out, I started withdrawing. He, who had past experiences with gay/bi/trans people, knew that kind of behavior, and he asked me about it. he was totally supportive.
