It will take me awhile to share a lot of detail, but I welcome new friends and I'm a very good listener and nurturer. I will say I am nearly 51, divorced 13 years (very amicably, no children) and I've dated men all my life. Suddenly over five years ago I just stopped dating altogether. I realized how unhappy I was trying to make things work with many types of men. Granted I made some boneheaded choices, but not ALL of them were bad, lol. I began to think there was something in me that was...if not gay, then definitely not completely heterosexual. It's hard to explain. I'm definitely not coming to this questioning phase as a bitter man-hater. I still think men are delightful (though gay men are easier for me to bond with.) In the last few years I've also had sparks of attraction to women that I never acted on...well, except one, but that is a story for another thread, lol. In short, I think I am finally at a mature enough age to realize love is love. I've shied away from all forms for half a decade. Now I am thinking maybe I should explore why I took such a hiatus. I'm thankful to have found a site where everyone seems so kind to each other. I look forward to getting to know you all.:smilewave Tallu
Hi there and welcome to EC, I don't think there is an age limit at all as to when you feel comfortable with exploring your sexuality, I think this will be a great site for you, there is a section of the forum called LGBT later in life that you might find interesting to have a read at and post when you are feeling ready to. I am relatively new, been here for almost 2 months now and I have found it nothing but supportive and friendly, I am sure you will fit in very well here, so take a look around, post where you feel you would like to and don't be shy.
