Hiya! I haven't been on a message board in a few years now, and I thought I'd join one because college life is turning out to be pretty lonely at times. Plus, this site seems like a friendly forum! And I could also use some cyber support from like-minded people. I've recently fully accepted that I am a lesbian. I've known I've liked girls for years, but I always thought it was a phase. But now that I'm 21, I'm confident it's more than just a phase. Anyways, my name is Jean, and I'm happy to be here! I look forward to many fun conversations with all the members on here in the future :icon_bigg
I've changed it a few times to different fields such as Psychology and Counseling, but now I've settled on English. A lot different majors piqued my interest, but English is my passion. I want to be a writer and/or teach ESL in foreign countries. I hear different parts of Asia pay ESL teachers a decent amount on top of giving a monthly stipend and paying for housing.
Welcome Jean. Self acceptance takes quite a bit of time for some of us, but you got there and that's the main thing. Hope we can support you and help you move along on the next stages of your journey.
Thanks, everyone. It's great to feel accepted. I grew up in a very strict and biblical household where being gay was simply not an option. So now that I'm older, it means the world to me that there are others out there like me.
