I wish I was joining under better circumstances in my life, but hopefully I can stay for the good times as well.

Usually, I am a very optimistic person but right now I am pretty scared and upset. My introduction to this site is a rocky one. I hope that I can find friends here and maybe get some advice. That would be great.

There's not much more to say about me at present. I am very easygoing and hard to offend; I enjoy talking and making friends. I play a lot of video games and write a ton. I role-play a lot.

Despite the reason for my joining, I am happy to be here and feel safe in talking about my issues. I don't think I've ever had to do this sort of thing before, so I'm shy and nervous and kind of frightened. This is all new and big and I feel very small in a world of people who already know how to handle things.

Thanks for reading and thanks for welcoming me to the site. I will try and do it, and everyone else justice.

Go look outside tomorrow at the plants or trees or leaves in front of your "domicile". Just spend five or ten minutes focusing on their shapes, colors, the weather, any wind, birds, wildlife, stillness, etc. It will help calm your mind.

I would if it wasn't going to be -30 tomorrow, haha. I live in the Canadas, where it is cruel and there is a harsh cold snap going on! I can definitely have a good stare out the window, though. ;D Thank you for the care, though. Drifting off into Winter is a good, calming thing.

Thanks, Hemlock! I hope so too. c:

    Welcome to EC
I'm sorry that you're going through what you're going through :/
I hope you can take some comfort in knowing that you aren't alone. I'm fairly sure a large number of people that are drawn to EC come here seeking help/support ( I know I am).

Anyhoo, if you ever need to talk I'd more than happy to listen

It's definitely comforting to know I'm not alone. That's what I came here for. Because you all seem like a very understanding group. Hopefully I can return the favor someday to someone who needs it. c: I am always up for a chat. I would have to wait for approval and all first before PMs, as I understand. So here is fine until then. I did work on a post for advice in coming out, but that's not up yet.

    Hello, Happydavid!

Ohhhhhh definitely. I have some blankets and some green tea and a heater. I live in a basement with a malfunctioned open fireplace to the cold air, so I hunker down like an Eskimo on most days! Can't wait for Spring to arrive.

Oh my that sounds terrible! Guess I should be thankful for the ranch then. Have a large three bedroom and only use one! Lol..warm and tight.
Hang in there, spring is almost here. In the meanwhile I would be stuffing something in the open fireplace.

The combination of items works pretty good! It hasn't been as cold the last bit, so it's okay. c: That sounds really awesome, though. They must be really wonderful bedrooms. My aunt lives on a ranch and man, those are some of the nicest and most cozy bedrooms I've ever seen!

A question for anyone still hanging about my welcome thread thing-
I've posted to the Coming Out forum and it told me that I had to wait for a mod to approve my post, but it's been a few days and I still really need help. Am I just being impatient? I realize that there are a lot of posts to look through, probably, but it would really help me out if I could get some input and I'm a little anxious. I don't mean to be impatient. e_e
