Salutations. I'm new to the site, so I just thought I'd post and say hello. I'm 19 1/2, and a FtM transgender living in Maritime Canada. I'm only out to a few friends and my mom, who unfortunately turned out to be a transphobe... I'm sick of the stress of being afraid and hiding in the closet. I hope I can make some much-needed progress on this in my time here.
Hi there, and welcome to Empty Closets! Great to see another Canadian joining the forum. I am sorry to read that your mom didn't take your coming out very well. It is possible that with time she will come around and understand you better from where you are coming from. Hopefully coming out to your friends has gone better, and you have been able to start creating a support network for yourself.
