Dynasty - Hello EC

    Hey everyone.

    I've been browsing EC for a while now, just looking for support. To be completely honest with you I had no intensions of ever joining - I've just lurked around in my social shell reading posts relating to my situations and/or feelings for support. That soon changed after becoming comfortable in the atmosphere reflected here on the site - it took me 2 weeks, but I finally decided to go for it.

    I'm actually very proud of myself for joining EC, being my social skills, self esteem, and image are basically 0 from depression dealing with my sexuality. It might not seem like a big deal for others, but I'm happy with myself for taking this step.

    Anyhow, on to more relevant things for an introduction.

    - I'm a 16 year old Male.
    - I'm from Atlantic Canada.
    - I'm gay.
    - I'm completely closeted.
    - I'd rather keep my name anonymous for now, thus I picked a random username - first possibility that came to mind.

    I guess that's it, if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them (if anyone replies at all lol) eitherway I'd like to thank the current EC members, you have no idea how much you've helped me in starting to accept who I am.

    Hii Hii, welcome to EC. I can understand when you say this is a big deal, joining social groups is always a hard step to take for me to. I Hope you come to feel at home here & find what your looking for.

    I know what you mean - I also found EC extremely helpful in terms of accepting my orientation. So I'm glad you joined and I hope you stick around.

    Thanks for the warm welcoming everyone.

    I was really uneasy coming back on the site and reading through this post. I guess just the feeling of vulnerability saying "I'm gay" outside my mind. To complete strangers nonetheless.

    I'm really glad I found EC and decided to join though. I'm really looking forward to becoming a part of it.
