Hello, I'm kind of new, I made this profile a while back when I was starting to come out. I'm half out now (some people know, some don't ) Since I've been gone, my family found out I was gay, my parents forced me back into the closet, to them at least, the one man I thought I could trust, my boss, who was like a second dad to me, fired me over it, and I lost a few friends. I made this post to reintroduce my self, maybe connect with friends from here, and meet new friends. I love reading, am an avid fanboy, and enjoy anime, video games, (anything LOTR especially)and am just kind of drifting through life right now. I can't wait to meet you all

forbiddenlove12 sorry about the deal with your boss. Some people treat those with a different orientation like they were carriers of some kind of disease. I hope you have someone there to talk to...if not don't forget that EC is always here to listen and give a shot at trying to help!!! Three words: double back pay. In 2011, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled twice that discrimination based on "sex-stereotypes" was illegal sex discrimination, and included firing based on sexual orientation. (Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation, Status as a Parent, Marital Status and Political Affiliation) The thing is, you have to file to be protected. You can call the EEOC at 1-800-669-4000. You only have a few months to file a complaint, so call them as soon as you can! If you were filed because you came out to your boss, these guys will make things right. Good luck!
Hi kinda new. I know the feeling. I have known since 6th grade I was bi/gay. But I just recently admitted it to myself. My family on the other hand is gonna be a different story. Any suggestions anyone?
