I know what it's like to live in that place. I grew up in a world of black and white certainty, where I was told how to act (straight!) and how to think (about the opposite gender only!). When I realized that the people who had been dictating those rules were just making things up based on their own preferences and prejudices, it was terrifying. But eventually, with the help of many friends both on and offline, I was able to become comfortable in my own skin again. It wasn't necessarily easy getting here, but I guess what I'm really saying is, it gets better. I hope that you find all of the support and guidance that you could ever ask for. Gingerlili....don't worry each and everyone of us here on EC started out confused and in many cases more than just a little sad.. But here you can share you problems and get answers from those that have already walked that particular path. .....and sad.....wow, I don't have to remind myself of the pain and difficulties that so many EC members have gone through because of the amount of sadness I often see. But there is a bright side...so many who are starting to get their lives figured out, who and reconciling with friends and relatives. This is a great place to be , stick with us and you will see!
