    Hey,
I'm new here and I set up a blog. But in my blog I've got some posts that I need advice on. I guess what I am out here for is to get more friends in this kind of community. Please comment if you can help me navigate this site and possibly throw some advice/comments my way in my blog!!

    Hello and welcome

Take part... ask questions... people like to help

    (&&&)

You might think about making another post looking for advice in one of the other sections... where more people are likely to read...

    Concerning your blog:
    your poem is nice

    Hope its ok to quote:
You might have a look here:
    http://emptyclosets.com/forum/chit-...fo-you-got-ec-helped-you-accept-yourself.html
You could try to go out a bit... to events...
here might be a few hints:

And have some self confidence . You might not be very outgoing, but a good listener... supportive... creative...
You could tell them that being gay is not a choice...
    Empty Closets - For Parents
->But I don't want my child to be gay!
and that your orientation is only a part of you, you are still the same person.
Sometimes people need time to come around.
This has got to do with self confidence. Accept that you are a nice human being and its your birthright to be together with other nice beings. I'd say accept them, maybe help out a bit, but enjoy.
You could have a look at the link above on making friends...
Well you could start to live your life for yourself... and for your girlfriend... your joy should show up in quite a few parts of your life...
    Sometimes people come around eventually.
This is from a pflag pdf:
You can’t force them; it’s not your fault if THEY can’t handle it. If you once had a good relationship, chances are you ... ( might sometime ) again. ... There’s no real substitute for your family of origin, but you CAN live without them, even have a full and very happy life.
You could have a look at the link above about accepting.
It has nothing to do with religion. Gay people have always been around, in all cultures.
Its about two people coming together in love. Thats all it needs, imo.

    Again, welcome
