I just discovered this forum, so I tought I'ld introduce myself. I am a 33 year old single mom who just came out about a year ago. When I was fifteen I put myself in the closet, because I was scared and wanted to conform, but that didn't really work out as planned. So I decided to be brave and give myself a chance at real happiness. I just moved into my own place and am finally getting ready to live my life as I want it. I have very supportive friends, so that makes it a whole lot easier. I recently informed my parents, who have been nothing but supportive as well, but the rest of my (very small) family doesn't know yet. I guess they will figure it out once I meet someone, I just can't deal with telling them right now. Very happy to have found this place, it really helps to know I'm not alone in this situation.
Welcome to EC. Congrats... It's never too late. Lot's of us start to really live when we hit 30. You'll come out when you feel you are ready, don't worry. Feel free to post and express yourself. Enjoy.
