It's normal to be nervous. Most guys of your age (straight & gay) are nervous and unsure but they just don't let on.
Everyone here has gone through, or is going through something similar. I got great help and support here on EC.
    Welcome.
This is a place where you can be yourself, ask honest and peculiar questions and get great help and support.

It's difficult sometimes when you live in an immediate surrounding that's not... well, accommodating or accepting. But you've taken a great first step in joining this site! People are really supportive, so do go on the forums and make yourself at home!
IRL, then, you could try telling someone you really trust, like a friend. I do understand if such a person is hard to find. Actually, where I come from, the American South is like... a spooky word, like it's from some kind of horror story...
But that's irrelevant, nevermind that! ^^ Just look and see if there's someone you could tell. It feels better.

Welcome! You should only start coming out when you feel comfortable and not any sooner. Tennessee is not exactly the most liberal of states, so you do have to keep that in mind.
