Hey! I'm new to forums. This is my very first post here, and I would like to introduce myself! (!) You can call me Rafa. I'm 16 years old, and I came out to my mom, my sister, and a few of my friends a few months ago. It's been weird. I've always been the awkward type, so it's rather strange to deal with all of this. I speak fluent English and Spanish, and the reason I wanted to come here is because I want to meet people like me. Where I live, I know about 2 gay people, whom I don't really talk to since they're not really my friends and we are very different. :icon_sad: Anywho, most of my friends here's reaction to my sexuality is really a ''go you'' type of support, but they don't really support my sexuality, and I'm ok with that. Can't change that. :rolle: Pretty much no one in my life right now really understands me. This of course has me feeling a huge lack of support. So... yeah. HI! :icon_bigg Wow. So many buttons. :eek:
Hello there, Rafa! Welcome to EC~ I hope your experience here is safe and enjoyable. Congrats on coming out! That's a really big step and I know how hard it is. Now that you've come out, the next big thing is to start building your support network which can consist of both people online and in rl who you can turn to for advice/support/etc. In regards to EC, don't be afraid to post any q's you might have in the appropriate forums or better yet, reach out to any EC member.
