Hello all! I'm a newbie, I guess. New to this site. I felt like I needed some kind of forum or discussion group for this new chapter in my life. I've been straight woman all of my life, but have been dating another woman for the last 18 months or so. I can't say I'm shocked. I can say that this has been unexpected. I've only told 2 people about my girlfriend and this gives me much heart-ache. I feel like I'm somehow diminishing our very real feelings for each other. I'm contemplating on sharing the news with a close family member today....or at least any day now. This contemplation is what brought me to this site. In my head, I know that my struggle is not atypical at all....but it is MY struggle nonetheless. I'm working my way around to asking a question of you all, but I don't really know what the question is. Maybe that's what my main problem entails. I don't know how to feel, what to do next, if there's a need to do anything at all. At any rate. Here I am. Saying hello. "Hello!" I hope to engage in many stimulating conversations and get a better grip of myself while I'm here.

hi! it sounds like you really care about your current partner so hopefully you two are able to stick through this time...it can definitely put some strain on relationships.
