Hi, I'm 17 years old and at this point I don't really know what I am. I never really thought of myself as being gay until this past year when I started having a class with this girl who really changed everything. She made me really think about the possibility of me liking women. She is probably the first person I've ever truly had a real crush on. I think she is straight but I honestly don't know, so I saw this cite and decided to join it because I have only told two other people about this and just felt the need to put it out there
Hi, Chloe! First off, I'm sure you will learn a lot from reading and talking to other people here. I was in a similar situation as you are, when I joined, and this place helped me to express and talk some issues with people I otherwise never would have. Now, chances are (although I don't know her or your other friends so I can't say with any certainty), that your friend is straight. Depending on your preferences, this might happen quite often with crushes if you decide to identify that you like other women. My advice: bring up LGBT topics and see if she bites... But don't force her say her sexuality, exactly. Even if she is LGBT, she might not be comfortable with talking about it in public (familiar? ). Don't be afraid to message me or someone else on my/their wall if you want to talk more in-depth, okay? ^.^
Welcome to EC! It's nice to meet you. Crushes in high school are super frustrating, but I guess it's good that it opened your eyes a little bit. Anyway - hope you enjoy it here.
Hi Chloe... Brilliant to have you here. You are so welcome. It is good you put it out here. Everyone is so supportive and lovely and you will soon feel re-assured, I know it. Look forward to learning more about you, and chatting. (!)
