Hi, I'm new. I'm a teenager still in High School (unfortunately. Soon! Soon I will be free.) I'm a lesbian and have known it since I was in 6th grade. I'm lucky to have accepting liberal parents, but not so much with friends. I have my best friend who is totally cool with it, but all my other friends are gone. I'm alone. So I guess I joined to make friends with people who won't care. Or care in the right ways.
Hi Raven welcome! Im glad you're here. Ive found an awesome community here so welcoming and accepting and have been there. Im glad your parents are liberal and your best friend. Are you going to college? Lots of open minded people there. Also ive heard "those you matter dont mind, and those who mind dont matter." I know its easier to see that in theory. I'm so sorry...I never had many friends to begin with, and the friends I do have are all part of the LGBTQ community, but I know a lot of people who were left by friends, family, and partners for who they were. Just know that we understand, and accept you for who you are.(&&&)
