*waves* Hello y'all! I discovered, just a few days ago, that our much-loved teenage daughter is gay. It was her choice to come out and tell us (and she asked my wife, her mother to tell me). I'm very happy that she has the maturity and confidence to understand herself. I've told her - and it's the truth - that I love her, and I'm proud of her, not least for her courage in telling us. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for her. Lots of hugs! We both want to support her, and do the right thing, so I thought I'd drop in here and say hello. I'll probably have a few questions shortly, if that's OK?
Hello and welcome to EC! It's awesome to see such an accepting parent on here and I'm sure your daughter is happy to have the support of her parents You've definitely come to the right place, and feel free to ask any questions! You might find the For Parents and Family Members of LGBT People subforum useful (*hug*) Start a thread there anytime!
I think it's so rad that you accepted your daughter for who she is. I'm also glad that your daughter was able to come out. Welcome to EC. (*hug*)
