Hi, my name is Maya, and I'm new here. I'm 17 years old. I'm a transgender girl. I came out a few months ago, being out has caused some difficulties, but overall it is the best decision I have ever made. I'm happier than I've ever been, and coming out is about 50% of the reason. The rest, is just my life is looking up all around. A few things about me--I'm a very devout Christian. I love worshiping God, love honoring God, love serving God. I am a ginormous nerd--I mean full on, I even am learning Elvish, except of course I know Elvish is more than one language, and what I'm learning is Sindarin--the variety spoken by the Dunedain in the late third age of Middle Earth. See, I told you I'm a nerd! I'm also really into anime, and scifi.I am obsessed with the TV show Supernatural. You get the picture, Im a nerdy kinda girl. My best friend is named Kim, and she is the most wonderful person alive. She's a fully out lesbian, and she is the first person I told I'm transgender, and she is the reason I was brave enough to come out. Kim is an angel from heaven, I swear. She is the most amazing person alive. I'm transgender, but I still am into girls. I identify myself as a transgender lesbian, although normally I just would say lesbian. My dream job is to be a journalist, specifically a foreign correspondent! I'm a big history/archaeology/anthropology/sociology/philology/politics/literature/art nerd. Basically Im a nerd for anything involving people and what makes us who we are. And I guess that's all you need to know about me! I look foward to getting to know you guys, here at EC. A lot of us are quite nerdy on here :icon_bigg, and I think it's impressive you're learning Sindarin. Glad you have such a good friend as well!
