I keep blurting these extended rants (well, one in April, one today that's awaiting moderation, probably due to a tendency to curse enthusiastically) in the support forum without ever saying "hi!" in the welcome section. Hi! I'm hyper anxious and long winded. I came out as a lesbian on FB in a fit of infatuated glee at one o'clock this morning. Nobody was surprised, so now I feel silly and overly dramatic. The intensity of this experience is a bit alienating, so I'm lonely. I've been hiding out in the EC threads this evening (a periodic tendency). Also, I like cats and labor history and lit theory and cheese. I hope you're all having a lovely day. :smilewave

Oh. No. I didn't mean it like that. I meant it in... I think it is a fishing term. Like searching the water for something. Maybe I never used that term right hahaha! You seem stressed though by their basically ignoring you coming out. Was it just a big letdown ?
Oh good! I guess I was kind of fishing for kindness/company (*hug*) And no, I'm not disappointed. I just feel over-exposed and a little disoriented, like when you emerge from a movie theater into midday sun. It was easy-ish to make a general statement in a cyber locale, it's harder to call people and say "hey I'm overwhelmed with feelings, can we hang out?" or even just "can we hang out?"
Um...really anxious, sure, but I don't honestly think it's mania...blurting out weird rants isn't really out of character for me. I write, I teach, I worry, I'm verbose. I just had a "gah" moment while waiting for the in-person responses, and with so much going on emotionally, it's been hard to talk to people. I guess I stored it all up and dumped it here. I do have panic attacks and some pretty heavy social anxiety, I'm aware of how my anxiety affects me, and trying to wait/figure out how to casually tell each and every person individually eventually became a scarier prospect than just getting it over with in a moment when my stress was in the backseat to my happiness about embracing my identity. I guess it looks weird because the two times I've posted on EC have been big-deal moments where I'm channeling a lot of stress. Also, this is a weird conversation to be having in the welcome forum. I hope I haven't convinced everyone that I'm a total spazz. I also hope you're getting good support in that other thread, as I know you're having a hard time right now too. (*hug*)
Not literal mania, haha, and I totally get it. anxiety is common amongst the lgbt crew. Illness of any kind is! And honestly I'm just glad you're here. XD Hardly anyone is watching but us I'm sure. And honestly yeah I am but life is what it is. It will get better and the more people I can help and be helped by the happier I will be . HowEVERRR. My fave is twitching and it's driving me mad
