    Hello everyone,

I came out of the closet and truly accepted who I was 10 days ago. I had kept my sexuality repressed for most of my life and am only now presenting myself to the world as gay. I had no idea it would feel so liberating to tell everyone about my identity. Because of the repression, I am still adjusting to this newer/better me. I look forward to getting to know others in a similar boat. Like many of you I've been through a fair bit of crap, so I intend on making a better life for myself.

If anyone wants to share their own experiences with me then I 'm be more than happy to chat.

    Welcome to the forum mate!

I came out 10 years ago... I've been through some rough patches ... but I made. You're amongst some cool people here.

    Have a great day.

Thanks Gay1234. I only just turned 30, so what my parents think about it isn't as crucial to me as what it might have been if I were younger. But considering you asked, they have been fine with it and I've had nothing but full support from them. They usually bring up examples of other gay people they know as a way to show their support.

That's so good to hear Gay1234! I wish I had half the courage when I was your age.

Closetboy, it took a family tragedy to get me to this point. If that had not have happened, I could still be closeted. And I know how difficult it can be to even admit to yourself that you are gay.
