Hi! I never really imagined I'd actually be here on this site actually posting anything to be honest. I'm a teen lesbian, still in school, and still not out of the closet yet, except to my best friend. The thing is, I've always somehow known I was "different" then my classmates, since a very early age. When I was in fifth grade, I first started liking this girl in my class, and I remember being so disappointed with myself. In fact, one of my clearest memories starts with me staring into my bedroom mirror, looking into my own eyes, and saying to myself, "I wish I wasn't a lesbian." I had a period of denial for a while, but I think I have finally come to terms with myself. I really joined this site so I could talk with other people who share the same difficulties with me because in school, the community is very anti-LGBT, so I really don't know anyone who's come out of the closet. It's really awesome to see so many LGBTQ+ people banded together in one place! Outside of school work (which is really rigorous) I really enjoy songwriting. I feel like songwriting really is an amazing way for me to just vent out whatever I'm feeling into words onto paper. I perform at open mics whenever I can because performing really is a huge part of my life! Anyways, I'm so glad I found this site.
