Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I'm happy to say that my cousin, Fiorino, introduced me to this board! Its soo nice to have a family member from our conservative southern baptist family who is gay too! I've been out since 2002? I was outed to my parents via an anonymous vengeful email but I'm just thankful I got out! I'm still working on getting them out of denial and into real acceptance... I think I'M finally there, though, which is so much more healthy! My girlfriend proposed marriage Christmas morning and we're planning our gay wedding! Its not legal in RI yet, but we want to have a marriage on the state house steps anyway; picket signs and onlookers all around. Alright, gotta take the dog out! :smilewave
Welcome to EC! I'm also from Rhode Island, which you can see if you look just to the <--- left there. I think it's great that you want to get married. Hopefully Rhode Island will soon feel the pressure from Connecticut and Massachusetts and accept gay marriages. I guess one good thing is that RI recognizes marriages from other states.
