My son and his partner found a house to buy. They made an offer and it was accepted. Now they are waiting for their loan to go through but everything looks good. They are pretty excited. Its a small 3 bedroom, one bath home next door to a city park. It has been recently completely remodeled. Its MUCH nicer than the rickety old apartment that they are living in now! So everybody cross their fingers that everything goes through! They also told me they were checking out adoption websites the other day but told me not to get too excited yet! :roflmao: It will take at least two years to make me a Grandma!
Oh wow! that's exciting. I suppose it's a good time to buy a house - especially in the US - if you're secure in your job and you can get the loan. I'd like to think that we've hit 'bottom' in the market. Only time will tell though. In real estate, location is key of course. If the house has been remodeled, it is presumably in a nicer area. Being located next to a park is usually a plus. I hope it goes through, and they like it.
