Hey everyone. I've only been accepting of my orientation and gender identity for about three years. I guess I've been looking for a community to interact with because support irl is slim to none. Long story short, I live in the southern US (wasn't born here, but I moved here in my teen years, so I guess it was a pretty formative time in my life). When I first began questioning my identity, the reception wasn't what I'd call the best. As it is, relations with my parents are pretty strained and the only people who really call me by my preferred name and use my preferred pronouns are the friends I've made at college and my fiance. I've been looking for a community online where I could ask questions and meet people. I usually lurk online but I'm making the effort to actually talk to people. Onto fun facts about yours truly. I love history, and I should be getting my bachelor's in history soon. I love to read and draw, and I have a passion for music and comedy alike. Generally I'm open to talk to just about anyone as long as my social anxiety doesn't get the best of me. I look forward to meeting everyone. :icon_bigg
Welcome to EC! Also live in southern parts of the US so I get that struggle. This is definitely a great place to talk to people
It sounds like you're in the right place! :icon_bigg Welcome to the forum. You're welcome to lurk but I hope you join in! We're all friendly here. Let the staff know if we can ever be of any help.
