I'm new to the site and kinda shy about my sexuality. I come from a Christian family and I feel ashamed of who I am. I'm having a really hard time coming out. I always feel like I will never find the words to come out.

Welcome to EC! My family is christian and I have been raised that way and in my opinion lesbian and gay is nothing to be ashamed of. If you think its a sin then think about this. Would god make you born with a sin that would last your whole life? No! I hope you enjoy your time here
Welcome to EC! You have nothing to be ashamed about. Your sexuality is a natural thing and its definitely not a sin. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself. Coming out for everyone is hard in their own way, but you're getting there. You signed up, didn't you?

Thanks everybody for the encouragement. I've always wished I was just a lesbian or just straight. But I have accepted who I am, and I'm just trying to find a good way to tell my family. I don't want them to try and explain away my feelings or dismiss them.
