    Hi

My name is Stephany, I'm 24 (of course)... I'm a fully femme, lipstick, no one ever tells that is lesbian, kind of queer.

I find out about this amazing forum reading a post in a lesbian lifestyle blog about a girl who was complaining about the lack of femme queers ( and now I'm wondering why took me so long to discover thisss!!:eusa_doh: )

I never struggled with myself about being a queer whatsoever, but I'm afraid what others might think of me. I'm out to some people (family and close friends) but I am completely terrified to come out in the work environment. I guess I'd be meeting some interesting people who shares the same feeling that I do.

Overall, I'm a easy-going person and look forward to talk a looooooooooooot about our amazing world ;D

    (*hug*)

    Hi Stezd,

All I can tell you is that we exist! As a "lipstick" lesbian myself with no gaydar, I feel your pain.

I'm a makeup addict, I love everything that is considered traditionally "girly" so people assume I can't wait to get married to a man and start popping out babies. At least I think that's what goes on in their heads, like I said I have zero gaydar. I'm too shy to correct them.

The most useful advice I've seen after lurking around these forums is to go out to an LGBT event of some sort. Since you're easy going and you say you like to talk a lot, in my humble opinion, I assume that would be great for you! The only thing I'm wary of are your doubts about coming out in your work environment. You know, you never know who will be at those kind of events.

Welp, I'm sure I wasn't of much help, but I think my point was to say you're not alone!

Welcome, Stephany! I am a transgender (MTF) femme lesbian, but I do not appear so due to my being transgender. After my transition, I know I will be totally femme and perhaps even "lipstick lesbian".

Anyway, there is much support on the Empty Closets website, and your straightforward question pretty much guaranteed that you would find support almost immediately. (And you did. Hooray for you!)

I hope that you will eventually come out to anyone who asks, and that it will be a great experience. Have a memorable day! :icon_bigg

And by the way, feel free talk to me about anything whenever you wish!
