Salutations and some tidbits

Salutations, ECers all!
I figured it'd be polite to introduce myself, since I plan to stick around for a bit...

I visited this site several times while I was coming out to myself and, later, my friends and family. It cheered and encouraged me so greatly, and helped this lurker through her tumultuous autumn.
I've returned, as a full-fledged member this time, to offer support and advice as someone who's been through much of the coming out process and is better off for it, and also to enjoy the amazing community here.

I'd love to talk, about things serious and chatty, just PM me or post on my wall. I'll be thrilled.

You'll get to know me better on the forums, but I'll type up a bit of a biography anyway.

I'm completely out at school- thank the gods I live in a pretty friendly place- and I have wonderful friends, gay and straight. There's homophobia in the halls and classes, of course, and I've gotten looks that chilled my blood, but I hate hiding- and people've left me alone lately, at least to my face. Sometimes being flamboyant pays.
I've told my parents I'm gay, and even my little brother and I have talked about girls a few times.

I want to do more to help others through questioning and coming out, and I've had a chance to start doing just that with some of my friends- and hopefully I'll be able to lend a hand on EC. It can be the most intense roller coaster ride of anyone's life, as we all know.

I enjoy candles, sewing, playing piano, hugging trees, hugging girls, walking barefoot, exploring the woods, writing, and tea, in no particular order at all.

My philosophy of the day: Serendipity's great, but lists are helpful too.

Thanks so much, Melissa! Yeah- he's only eleven, so he had no prejudices, and we could talk about our crushes.
I love poetry- and prose. Just observations and journaling and everything.
My friend and I write in journals- and exchange them every time we see each other.
He's a sweetie, and it's a great way to keep in touch with people you don't see often.
