    I guess specifying my country will make this thread stand out slightly more.

    So yeah, hi. Since I've recently finished my animation college course, I thought I'd find a group to join, or something. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any where I live. No LGBT groups, no gaming meetups, nothing.

    At the moment, the closest place with LGBT groups is too far away, and is inaccessible.

    Unless I buy a car.
    And get a real job.
    And a driver's license.
    ...And move out of my mom's basement.

    So in the meantime, I've decided to join EmptyClosets instead. It seems to be the next closest thing I'll get for a while.

    Canada? Animation course? I'm quite jealous, those are two of the things "I want really badly but can't have any time soon" haha.

    I know that feeling though, the closest place down here is probably 4 centimeters or so on a global map so not exactly walking distance? Well, I guess it depends on the size of the map but you know what I mean, probably.

    Eh. What's up, fellow Canadian noob?

    I dunno where you're at, but K-W, Guelph, Hamilton, all of the GTA, Niagara and even probably Barrie have gay organizations and GSAs at the Universities. Unless you're outside the Golden Horseshoe, I have a hard time believing there are no gay organizations or gaming meet-ups within travelling distance. Alternatively, you can either create a meet-up group yourself, or use location-based apps to chat with people in your area with common interests.

    I feel like there could be a Canadian Thread. But if my time travelling has taught me anything, it is that Canadians will always find other Canadians, anywhere they are. That and Australians. We always find them too....
