Hi, I'm a 20-something university student from Europe. Unlike many of my lgtb friends I never had much trouble discovering my sexual identity. Ever since I can remember I have liked men and to some extent women. I guess I'm like a kinsey 4,5 . That said I wasn't born into a particularly normal family. My parent's were always kind of distant and I pretty grew up with nannies and housekeepers. They were always away working and traveling and I only saw them late at night or during some weekends. We also had a culture of not talking about anything important. Everyone knew my father was a high functioning alcoholic and my mother had affairs but nothing was ever said out loud. When I became deeply depressed during my teenage year and asked my mother for help her answer was basically to stop whining and appreciate what we have, i.e. money. Thankfully my sister basically forced me to see a psychiatrist and eventually start therapy. That probably saved my life. University/collage lifestyle really changed my life for the better. I'm studying economics and live on university campus. Haven't found a boy/girlfriend yet tho Nowadays my relationship with my family is also much better than it used to be when I lived at home. My father decided to become interested in my life a few years ago and now we have a great relationship and my sister is probably my best friend.
