    Hey everyone, I'm Ben and I'm a new member, though I've been reading the forums off an on for a few weeks. I'm really looking forward to being part of a community that understands how confusing this sexuality biznass is. I'm out to a lot of my friends and to my sister as bi, though I think I definitely lean to the gay side of the scale. I was raised evangelical Christian, so that's definitely impacted how long it's taken and the path by which I've come out to myself, so I'm trying to sort through all that. Self-repression is a complicated and sad thing, and I'm so glad to be working my way out of it.

    I know everyone here knows the Anais Nin quote (since I first saw it here lol), but I just want to say that it's given me so much hope on the down days:

    "And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."

    Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and thanks in advance for the support! =)

    I was raised Evangelical Christian too :slight_smile: ...and im still alive! I feel any gay person whp was raised Evangelical Christian and lives to tell the tale is a very strong person, you have to be to escape that sometimes deadly lifestyle.
