Hey there beautiful people! Thought I might drop in on this EC party. I'm a shapeshifter currently doing a halfway decent impression of a 27 year old human female. I like climbing mountains, eating insects and figuring out how to get into places that I'm not supposed to be. I murder defenseless bunnies with my bare hands and occasionally, I even remember that I'm a bit of a misanthrope. I wouldn't recommend challenging me to a duel. (Because I fence. That isn't a threat). ...Pleased to make your acquaintance! *grins* No, but seriously. The shapeshifting bit is relevant because it's more or less the bedrock of my identity, gender and otherwise. I promise I'm mostly sane. Sex: female bodied. Gender: eh...the articulation could use some work. That's partly why I'm poking around this place. Looking forward to learning new things.
Welcome to EC! Oh dear, nice to meet you as well Cx I hope you learn some new stuff on here and enjoy your time around
Thanks for the welcome! It occurs to me that I should probably also quickly note: I'm not otherkin, by a long shot. I don't have a Tumblr. I don't believe in magic or past lives. "Shapeshifter" is simply my personal way of trying to denote some...brain things as I experience them. I know otherkin can be a bit of a sore subject in the LGBT community. I don't disagree.
Hi welcome. Your gender, orientation or gende ambiguity is irrelevant. The important thing is that you are a nice person. Also you appear to be a very interesting person. So shape shift to your heart's content, we will love you no matter what. (&&&)
Hi Cinnabar and welcome to EC I hope you'll like it here ^^ By the way: Nice introduction! The book I'm writing on has shapeshifter, so your heading caught my attention really quick ^^
Delightful! Is your shapeshifter the villain of the story? The shapeshifter is always the evil villain and I can't say I understand why that trend exists. It's so deeply rare (at least for me) to find good or neutral shapeshifting characters in fiction. Hmf! Many thanks for the warm welcome.
Deep space nine has a good shapeshifter in it (though granted the rest of his race are evil assholes). So, bunnies huh? I love bunnies so that caught my eye.. you catch them to eat?
That's true. I suppose Odo could be considered a notable exception to that general rule. I found him desperately boring though. Too lawful, perhaps. I want me some chaotic-neutral shapeshifters in my fiction! Heh. And yeah, I raise rabbits for food. I choose to do that to avoid buying meat at the store - not a fan of giving that industry my money. Rabbits are awesome and mine are extremely spoiled. Doesn't stop people from proclaiming me a "bunny murderer" though, while snacking on hamburgers, so I've just gone ahead and snarkily adopted the phrase. :rolle:
